Itinerary
Day 1Coorg
Pick up from Mysore airport/railway station and drive to Coorg- The Scotland of India. Check into the hotel and proceed for a sightseeing tour of Coorg. Visit Abbey Falls – amazing waterfalls filled with the splendid beauty of mother nature, Madikeri Fort – The 19th-century fort now houses district prison, temple, church, Mahatma Gandhi Public Library, museum and government offices. Then visit Omkareshwara Temple – dedicated to Shiva, was built in the 19th century in a mix of Gothic and Islamic styles and Rajas Seat- is an enchanting picnic spot. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 2Coorg
Today, visit Talakaveri – the Birth Place of Kaveri River. Located in the Brahmagiri hill near Bhagamandala, which is one of the 7 sacred rivers of Sapta Sindhus of the Hindu scriptures. Nearby there is also a small temple dedicated to Lord Agastheeswara. Proceed to visit Bagamandala- the confluence of three rivers Kaveri, Kanake and Sujyoti. Visit temples nearby which is devoted to Lord Ganapathy, Subramanya and Vishnu. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 3Coorg
Today, proceed to visit Dubare elephant camp where you can feed the elephants and enjoy nature. Later visit Nisargadhama breathtaking and a beautiful island filled with lush foliage of thick bamboo groves. Thereafter proceed to visit Bylakuppe – largest Tibetan settlement in South India. A beautiful Monastery with 62 feet Buddha statues covered with gold plates is a wonderful sight anytime.
Day 4Leave Coorg
Check out from the hotel and proceed to Mysore Airport/Railway station for your return journey.
